North Cyprus minimum wage 2026: net, gross, hourly and daily

The minimum wage in North Cyprus is set by the Minimum Wage Commission and updated during the year in line with the cost of living. In 2026 it was set twice. Here are the latest figures announced in July 2026 and the rates for the first half of the year.

The increase of 16.95% matches the cost-of-living rate. Labour Minister Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu announced the decision on 16 July 2026.

Gross vs net
Net pay is gross pay minus the employee's social insurance and provident fund contributions — about 13% of gross at 2026 rates. Always ask whether a salary in a job ad is net or gross.
